John Dennis focuses on family law matters with our firm. In addition to trial work, he also handles all of our appellate cases involving family law. He is the past President of the Missouri chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is past Chairperson of the Missouri Bar's Family Law Section. He is a past chairperson of the Family Law Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America for Family Law for over 20 years, most recently cited in the Kansas City magazine's Superlawyers of Missouri and Kansas edition. John speaks at family law seminars regularly and edits the monthly Family Law portion of the MoBar "Courts and Cases Bulletin." John's general philosophy about family law matters: "I like to keep my eyes on doing two things at once in every case as much as is possible. First, getting the information together that will enable my client and I to try to resolve the case sooner rather than later. Second, if the other side isn't willing to do the former, then presenting an efficient and reasonable case to the court in a persuasive manner. My client will know what is going on because this is a most important and yet confusing event in his/her life.
